Sharing food is possibly the most universal enjoyment. I capitalize on this universality by creating ambiguous documents of meal events and community tables, creating abstract maps of ingredients and drips. In my food grease lithographs I take ingredients from a dinner and use the food to transfer greases onto lithographic plates, processing them for print. This is done through collaborative project Southern Intentions Dinner, an art and dinner collaboration shared with a potter and a chef. In my own practice I document table marks through a tracing process. Both processes connect nebulous forms with the human interaction shared meals promote.
Please contact me about adding this experience to an event or dinner.
